Abstract

This project will develop: (1) new chemical analysis techniques to study the mercury fate in legacy biosolids which will lead to better understanding of their potential environmental impact; (2) environmentally-benign phytoremediation approaches using native plants to reduce mercury release so the biosolids can be safely used for land applications.
